How long have you been working in the Travel Industry?

Over seventeen years! Many of you will know me from my time with Funway Holidays and Barrhead travel.

Describe a typical working day at AMResorts.

Gladly, there is no typical day. I like the flexibility and different days we have on the road. It can go from answering emails and calls all day to driving in a city centre somewhere, parking up the car and going round all the agents. This would include training them, going through all the different promotions with our tour operator partners and generally building a relationship with them.

What if your favourite resort so far?

In November, I took a group of agents to the Dominican Republic to experience a number of our properties. My favourite was Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa. In three words, elegant, romantic and classy. The rooms were stunning and the service was seamless. Plus, the beach was beautiful! Not to leave out Mexico… Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa is a must!

What is your favourite food?

Has to be sushi – I have also heard that the sushi at Himitsu, Secrets Silversand Riviera Cancun is delicious.

You’re often out on the road, but where do you call home?

I love travelling and the flexibility of business development, however Scotland is home and forever where my heart is.

What do you do in your spare time?

Apart from travel? Ha ha. I do Pilates once a week, it’s a new hobby I took up at the end of last year. I hope to carry it on in 2018.

Anything else you can tell us?

That depends on who you will tell. Ha. It’s pretty simple… for me, I work to live and I live to travel. I look forward to seeing you all in 2018.
